Photographers Beware
In the August 7, 2005 edition, The Star-Ledger, in a story titled: A portrait of artistic expression vs. a right to privacy, reports about a lawsuit pending in New York stemming from a book of photographs taken by Philip-Lorca diCorcia [ISBN: 3882434414; Published October 2001 by Steidl, Gerhard Druckerei und Verlag]. The Plaintiff is Erno Nussenzweig, who believes he has been damaged by the unauthorized printing of his portrait in an art book that is being sold commercially.

Thanks for posting this link, Paul. After reading various blogs, the question occurred to me regarding privacy rights of people whose photo's are taken at a public event and then published onto a blog without their knowledge or permission...not just general crowd photo's, but shots of specific people about whom blog comments accompany the photo. Will forward this guide to others. Thanks again!
